AIS Holi 2014

Holi, an important festival for hindus, is an ancient festival and is celebrated usually in March. The festival has many purposes. It celebrates the beginning of a new season (spring), agriculture, good spring harvests and fertile land. It also has a deeply religious significance where the triumph of good over evil is celebrated.
Holi has come to be celebrated not only in india, but in many foreign countries as well. It primarily involves smearing each other with dry colors and throwing water. As with any indian festival, Holi also comprises of sweets, desserts and lots of fun and laughter.
